We experienced firsthand how the sales machine — built to maximize revenue at every layer — held us back from actually serving our clients. The overhead required to keep the lights on at a traditional reseller doesn't stay internal. It lands in every quote, on every deal, whether clients know it or not.
Having successful careers at the biggest names in the business gave us a front-row seat to how this industry really operates. The margins. The quotas. The sales games. The targeted incentives designed to move specific products. We saw where the model served the reseller, but more importantly where it fell short for our clients and OEM partners.
So we left to build something better.
We believe the best sellers don't need the machine behind them — and neither do their clients. At CDW and SHI, we outgrew the structure we were supposed to rely on. The managers, the engineers on salary, the layers of oversight — we weren't using them, but our clients were paying for them on every deal.
We believe the best account managers should be able to deliver for their clients without charging them for an infrastructure they didn't get to create. Great service and fair pricing don't have to be mutually exclusive. We proved it by removing everything that made it that way.
